There is never a dull moment at ScareFest.  You will see oodles of cosplayers, and have your picture made with them if you like.  All weekend long there will be seminars on a really diverse array of subjects.  Most, if not all, the stars will have Q&As you can attend.

Do you like to shop?  There are lots of vendors to visit, and the selections range from fanciful to the spooky.  There will even be booths for your sweet tooth.

For more information about the celebrities attending, schedules for seminars and/or Q&As, tickets, etc., visit www.thescarefest.com.  I know from personal experience you will have a blast.

New Designs…

If you have visited our Etsy store, A Family Affair Boutique, you know that we have lots of shirts to choose from.  If it’s been awhile since you’ve been there, do you know we have added about 70 new designs?  The vast majority of these cater to back-to-school, for both the student and the staff.  A few sports related designs were also added.

If you’ve never visited out Etsy store, I encourage you to do so. We have 20 categories of shirt styles and designs to choose from. We also do custom orders. If we can’t do the design you want, we will let you know.

New photos added…

If you haven’t checked out our site lately, why not hop on over and check out the new photos that have been uploaded to our Photo Albums.  Over 160 photos have been added to the albums, as well as 2 new albums.  We have also tweaked some of our albums.  Besides these photos, the 2018 Lexington Comic Book & Toy Convention photos have been added.  Some of the stars we saw at the Lexington ComicCon were Chuck Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger), Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Lou Diamond Phillips (LaBamba) and Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker of Star Trek The Next Generation).

Our next excursion will be in September when we attend the 2018 ScareFest Convention.  This is an annual horror film and paranormal convention held in Lexington, Kentucky.  For more information, you can click on the link.  If interested in attending, they have links for admission prices, as well as hotel reservations.

Another project we are working on is adding more designs to our Etsy store, A Family Affair Boutique.  School will be starting within the next few weeks and school designs are at the top of our list of additions.  If you have something in mind you would like to see added or just for yourself and/or child, please don’t hesitate to let us know.  We’ll see what we can do for you.

Still chugging along…

We’re still working on learning how to use WordPress, so please hang in there with me.  I want to make sure that I get everything just like I want it, which may take forever.  lol

Other news…pictures from the 2018 Lexington Comic Book and Toy Convention are done…now to edit the pages for them and upload everything to the site.  There will several photos uploaded to our Photo Albums as well.  Then it’s on to getting ready for this year’s ScareFest in September.

Also, new designs are in the works to be added to A Family Affair Boutique.  School will be starting soon, and we are working on designs not only for the kids, but for the teachers as well.

Thanks for stopping by.  See ya soon.

Change is a good thing, right?

Here at Sharry’s Place we are in the process of learning how to use WordPress.  So far it’s been really interesting, but mind boggling for this old lady.  🙂  It is our hope that this new blog will eventually replace our “old” blog at https://sharrysplace.blogspot.com.  Please bear with us as we learn “new tricks” and hope you will come back often.
